Range
Up to 7 m, 120° angle

The Tapo T100 motion sensor detects movement at up to 7 meters and instantly passes the signal through the hub: switch on the hallway light, send a notification, trigger the camera siren. The sensor is the basis for motion-activated lighting and simple security for a flat or office. A rotating magnetic base lets you aim the detection zone.

Advantages

  • Instant notifications when there is movement in the protected zone
  • Wireless automation: the light comes on by itself when someone enters the room
  • A rotating magnetic base — the detection zone is set in seconds
  • The battery lasts up to two years, with almost no maintenance
  • A 120-degree field of view and a range of up to 7 meters

Applications

  • Corridors and hallways with motion-activated lighting
  • Simple security for a flat, country house or office
  • Utility and storage rooms
  • Stairs and circulation areas

Frequently asked questions

Is a hub needed for the sensor to work?
Yes, sensors in this range connect to the system through a Tapo hub — which also handles scenes and notifications.
Does the sensor react to pets?
PIR sensors are sensitive to heat, so a large animal can trigger them. Choosing the right height and direction helps.
Can the sensor be linked to a camera?
Yes, in Tapo scenes a sensor trigger starts the siren or recording on the camera.
