CCTV and low-voltage installation: what the work costs
Tick the systems your site needs — the calculator lays out a plan, counts the points and metres of cable routes and shows the labour cost from our standard price list. Below are worked examples for typical sites and the unit rates behind them. It takes a minute and commits you to nothing.
01Type of site
Pick the type and set the floor area — route length depends on it.

03Site conditions
These drive the labour: in the price list they are surcharges on the work.

Rates from our standard price list for low-voltage work. Equipment is bought separately — from our catalogue or supplied by you; it does not change the labour price.
What the price covers
- On-site mounting: brackets, fixings, installation at the design point.
- Cable laying, conduit and chasing where no routes exist yet.
- Termination, configuration and commissioning of every point.
- Setup of the recorder, controller or panel, including remote access from a phone.
- System testing and a hand-over briefing for your staff.
What drives the price
- The number of points — cameras, doors, detectors, outlets. This is the bulk of the quote.
- Whether cable routes already exist. With trays and conduit in place the work is roughly a quarter cheaper.
- Installation height. Above 4.5 metres lifts and fall protection are required — a 40% surcharge in the price list.
- Type of site. Warehouses and production floors mean longer routes and harder access.
- Identification type in access control: cards cost about half of biometrics.
