Analog cameras
Found: 28Analog cameras — guide & FAQ
HD cameras (Turbo HD) are high-resolution analog video surveillance cameras operating on HD-TVI (High Definition Transport Video Interface) technology. Unlike classic analog cameras of the CVBS format, they transmit an image with a resolution from 1 to 8 megapixels over an ordinary coaxial cable without replacing the existing infrastructure. This is precisely why Turbo HD remains an in-demand solution when modernizing old analog video surveillance systems: there is no need to lay a new cable network, while the picture quality improves dramatically.
Buying HD cameras in Tashkent today is significantly easier than a few years ago: the Uzbekistan market is saturated with offers, yet it is difficult to make sense of dozens of series and modifications without understanding the task. Turbo HD cameras are produced in two main form factors — bullet cameras for directional surveillance outdoors or in corridors, and dome cameras for ceiling installation indoors and under canopies. A separate niche is occupied by ColorVu models, which provide a color image in near-total darkness thanks to an improved sensor and white illumination, as well as EXIR cameras with smart infrared illumination that evenly distributes the light flux and eliminates overexposure at the center of the frame.
When choosing, it is important to focus not only on megapixels but also to evaluate the lens type, night-vision range, housing protection class and compatibility with the already installed video recorder. The SAT Solutions catalog features Hikvision models of the DS-2CE1x, DS-2CE7x, DS-2CE10x, DS-2CE16x series with fixed 2.8 mm lenses and other focal lengths, which makes it possible to select a camera for a specific viewing angle and range.
How to choose
- Sensor resolution. For most tasks 2 MP (FullHD 1080p) is sufficient, but if you need to recognize faces or read license plates at a distance, it is worth considering 5 MP and above. Cameras of the DS-2CE76H0T series provide 5 MP while maintaining compatibility with Turbo HD recorders.
- Form factor. Bullet cameras are mounted on walls and poles and are well suited for outdoor use. Dome cameras are for ceilings; they are harder to damage or redirect by hand, so they are preferable in public places.
- Illumination type. EXIR illumination provides an even black-and-white image at night at a range of up to 40-60 m. ColorVu with white illumination gives a color picture around the clock but creates an additional light source. The choice depends on the requirements for color at night and the reaction of those nearby to visible light.
- Viewing angle and focal length. A 2.8 mm lens gives a wide viewing angle (about 100-105°) for monitoring indoor spaces. A 3.6 mm lens narrows the angle, increasing the identification range. For streets and perimeters, lenses of 6 mm and longer are often needed.
- Housing protection rating. For outdoor use, a protection class of at least IP67 is mandatory (full dust protection, resistance to a water jet). For areas prone to vandalism — a housing with IK10 (impact-resistant).
- Compatibility with the recorder. Turbo HD cameras work with HD-TVI recorders. Before purchase, make sure the DVR supports the required resolution and protocol. Hikvision DS-2CE series cameras are fully compatible with Hikvision iDS/iDS2/iDS7 recorders.
- Operating temperature range. In Uzbekistan the air warms up to +40°C and above in summer, so for outdoor facilities a camera operating temperature range up to +60°C and above is important.
Applications
- Retail facilities and offices. Dome HD cameras in sales areas, at checkouts and in meeting rooms provide oversight of staff and visitors with minimal interference in the interior.
- Perimeter and parking lots. Bullet EXIR cameras with long-range illumination are installed on fences, entrance gates and parking zones of warehouse and industrial enterprises.
- Multi-apartment residential buildings. Systems based on HD-TVI make it possible to use old coaxial cable, which substantially reduces installation cost when modernizing intercom and security systems.
- Educational and healthcare facilities. Schools, kindergartens and medical institutions in Tashkent and the regions of Uzbekistan are equipped with dome cameras to monitor corridors, entrance groups and inner courtyards.
- Industrial enterprises. Cameras in explosion-proof or vandal-proof designs for workshops, warehouses and process zones where monitoring is required under difficult lighting conditions.
- Private households and cottages. ColorVu cameras make it possible to obtain a color image at night without external light sources — an in-demand solution for video surveillance in the private sector.
Brands and models in the catalog
- Hikvision — the world leader in the video surveillance market, whose Turbo HD cameras form the basis of the SAT Solutions catalog. The range includes the DS-2CE10, DS-2CE11, DS-2CE12, DS-2CE16, DS-2CE17, DS-2CE72, DS-2CE76 series with sensors from 2 to 5 MP in bullet and dome designs.
- EXIR models. The DS-2CE16D0T, DS-2CE76D0T and DS-2CE11H0T series are equipped with proprietary Hikvision EXIR illumination — an array of infrared diodes with reflectors that imitate a point source and form an even illumination cone without overexposing the near zone.
- ColorVu. The DS-2CE12DF3T-F and DS-2CE72DF3T-F cameras operate in full-color mode around the clock, using a highly light-sensitive sensor and a built-in white floodlight. They are suitable for facilities where color recognition at night is critical.
- Entry-level HD-TVI models. The DS-2CE10DF0T and DS-2CE16D0T-IRP series cameras are designed for budget installations where a facility needs to be switched to HD resolution quickly and inexpensively without replacing the cable infrastructure.
