Frequently asked questions

What is virtualization and why does business need it?
Several virtual servers run on one physical machine: less hardware, lower electricity and maintenance costs, fast backup and recovery. One modern H3C server replaces 5–10 aging machines.
What is H3C CAS?
H3C's virtualization platform (an analogue of VMware vSphere): a hypervisor plus a single console for managing virtual machines, clusters and migration. Noticeably cheaper than Western alternatives, with official vendor support.
Are you an official H3C partner?
Yes, SAT Solutions is an H3C partner: equipment at partner pricing, official CAS licenses and vendor support.
Can we move our current servers into a virtual environment?
Yes. H3C CAS Migration Tool moves physical servers and virtual machines (including VMware) without reinstalling systems — with a migration license for up to 100 hosts.
Is it suitable for ERP and critical systems?
Yes: a two-node cluster provides fault tolerance — if one server fails, virtual machines automatically restart on the second. We have deployed this for financial organizations in Tashkent.
How much does an H3C server with virtualization cost?
It depends on the configuration: a single ERP server and a fault-tolerant cluster with CAS Enterprise are different budgets. Describe your tasks and we will prepare a specification and quote within a day.
