Virtualization on H3C servers for a financial organization
A high-availability virtualization cluster: two H3C UniServer R4900 G6 servers and the H3C CAS Enterprise platform, with migration of live systems without long downtime.
Server consolidation, high-availability cluster, migration without downtime
About the project
For a financial organization in Tashkent, SAT Solutions specialists designed and deployed a virtualization platform on H3C equipment — from server supply to migration of production systems.
The task: consolidate scattered physical servers, ensure fault tolerance of critical services and simplify backups — with room to grow without replacing the platform.
The following work was carried out:
supply of two H3C UniServer R4900 G6 servers — each with two 16-core Intel Xeon processors, 512 GB of DDR5 memory, eight 7.68 TB SSDs and 25GbE network interfaces;
deployment of the H3C CAS Cloud Virtualization Manager Enterprise platform;
clustering of the servers with automatic restart of virtual machines on node failure;
migration of existing systems into the virtual environment with the native H3C CAS Migration Tool — without reinstallation or long downtime;
backup configuration and training of the customer's administrators;
a one-year H3C vendor support subscription.
The result: critical services run in a high-availability cluster — if one node fails, virtual machines automatically restart on the second. New servers are now provisioned in minutes instead of weeks of hardware procurement, and the whole infrastructure is managed from a single console.
SAT Solutions is an H3C partner in Uzbekistan: we deliver such projects turnkey — from audit and specification to migration and support.
