The H3C UniServer R4900 G6 is a dual-socket 2U platform on the new generation of Intel Xeon Scalable. Up to 32 eight-channel DDR5-5600 memory modules totalling up to 8 TB and up to 25 2.5-inch drives provide high performance and storage density. This is the very platform SAT Solutions builds H3C CAS virtualisation clusters on.

Frequently asked questions
How many nodes does a cluster need?
Usually three or more for resilience. The exact number depends on the load and redundancy requirements — we will size it for the task.
Is a separate storage system needed?
With 25 drives in the server many scenarios are covered locally. A separate SAN is needed when data grows faster than node capacity.
Who deploys the virtualisation?
SAT Solutions is an H3C partner: we supply the servers, deploy the cluster, migrate the systems and train the administrators.
