HiLook HL-NS-0518P-125 is a gigabit PoE switch with 16 ports powered over the cable and two SFP uplinks, designed for building large video surveillance systems. A PoE budget of 125 W and an extended transmission mode up to 250 meters allow simultaneously powering and servicing a large number of IP cameras at extensive sites. The device is suitable for system integrators who need gigabit network performance combined with the flexibility of an optical connection.

Advantages

  • 16 Gigabit PoE ports: high-speed power and data transmission for an extensive fleet of IP cameras
  • PoE budget of 125 W: sufficient power to serve all ports at typical camera consumption
  • 2 Gigabit SFP ports: two optical uplinks for channel redundancy or building a ring topology
  • Range up to 250 m: reduces the requirements for the density of cable infrastructure at large sites
  • Gigabit speed: support for high-resolution video streams without bandwidth limitations
  • Scalability: two SFP uplinks allow expanding the network and connecting additional switches

Applications

  • Video surveillance systems at large industrial and commercial sites
  • Multi-level corporate security networks with channel redundancy
  • Extended perimeters and territories with numerous surveillance points
  • Ring topologies with a backup optical channel to increase fault tolerance

Frequently asked questions

Why two SFP ports instead of one?
Two uplinks allow setting up a backup communication channel or connecting the switch to two upstream devices simultaneously to increase network reliability.
Are cameras with consumption over 15 W supported?
Yes, the ports are compatible with the PoE+ standard (802.3at), which allows connecting cameras with heaters and PTZ devices with increased power consumption.
Can downstream switches be connected to this switch to expand the network?
Yes, additional switches can be connected via the SFP ports or over a copper cable, expanding the network without loss of performance.
