The HiLook HL-NS-0310P-60 PoE switch delivers power and data to eight IP cameras over a single cable each, while two gigabit uplinks connect it to a recorder or the backbone. The total PoE budget of 60 W covers typical cameras without floodlights. Fanless passive cooling means the switch can sit in a low-voltage cabinet next to the NVR.

Is 60 W enough for eight cameras?
For typical cameras without powerful illumination, yes. Cameras with floodlights and heaters draw noticeably more, and then a switch with a larger budget is needed.
How far can power be delivered over PoE?
The standard reach is up to a hundred meters over twisted pair. Beyond that, intermediate switches or extenders are used.
Do I need a separate switch if the recorder already has PoE ports?
If there are more cameras than ports on the NVR, or they are spread across the site, a separate switch is more convenient and cheaper.
