The outdoor design allows outdoor installation; however, to protect against mechanical damage it is recommended to use cable ducts or protective conduits.

Is a special tool required to terminate this cable?

The cable is terminated with a standard twisted-pair tool — a stripper and a punch-down tool for Keystone modules or cross-connects.
