The MikroTik CRS320-8P-8B-4S+RM is a new-generation PoE switch for serious CCTV and Wi-Fi systems: eight PoE ports up to 30 W, eight high-power ports up to 60 W and four SFP+ 10G cages. The total power budget and smart management build a node that feeds cameras, access points and heated PTZs alike.

Advantages

  • 8 ports up to 60 W — enough for heated PTZ cameras and powerful APs
  • 4 SFP+ 10G uplinks: streams reach the core without a bottleneck
  • Per-port power monitoring and restart from RouterOS
  • 1U rack build with redundant power
  • Survives winter loads: camera heaters do not sink the budget

Applications

  • A CCTV node: dozens of cameras, including PTZ and heated outdoor units
  • Powering high-draw Wi-Fi 6/6E access points
  • A floor or workshop node with a 10G uplink to the core
  • Perimeter systems where the equipment works in frost

Frequently asked questions

Why 60 W ports if a camera needs 10?
A regular one — yes, but a heated PTZ draws up to 60 W, and winter heaters double outdoor cameras' consumption. High-power ports settle the question for good.
Can a frozen camera be rebooted remotely?
Yes — each port's power is managed from RouterOS: toggle the port and the camera restarts, no site visit needed.
What does a 10G uplink give CCTV?
Forty 8 MP cameras produce a stream a gigabit uplink can no longer carry. SFP+ removes the bottleneck between the node and the recorder.
