CRS112-8P-4S-IN is a managed switch with eight gigabit PoE-out ports and four SFP. PoE on every copper port means cameras, access points and IP phones draw power over the same cable that carries their data — no sockets needed beside them.

The four SFP ports take the fiber: an uplink to the core or links to neighboring buildings. For a small site this is a complete node — switching, device power and a fiber exit in one box.

The unit runs both as a switch (SwOS) and as a full router with RouterOS: VLANs, firewall, DHCP, VPN. A 400 MHz CPU and 128 MB of memory are enough to route a small network without a second device.

Frequently asked questions

How many cameras will the CRS112-8P feed?
Eight PoE 802.3af/at ports feed eight regular IP cameras with margin; for heated PTZs check the power budget — we will help size the configuration.
Why does it have four SFP ports?
Fiber uplinks up to a gigabit: a camera node can sit hundreds of meters from the recorder, linked over fiber with no distance losses.
Is RouterOS on a switch complicated?
Defaults cover the basic job, and RouterOS adds headroom: VLANs, port isolation, monitoring. We preconfigure at delivery — power it on and work.
