The MikroTik XS+DA0001 is a passive copper direct attach cable (DAC) 1 m long that supports three speeds at once: 1G in SFP slots, 10G in SFP+ and 25G in SFP28. Structurally it is a pair of fixed connectors joined by a shielded copper cable — a ready-made link for equipment inside a rack. The cable is aimed at server rooms, data centers and switching nodes where price, reliability and simplicity matter on short runs. It is designed first of all for MikroTik hardware, with which compatibility is guaranteed.

Its practical value lies in versatility: the same assembly works with a gigabit switch and with a 25-gigabit server NIC, the speed being negotiated automatically. When the network is upgraded, the cabling stays in place — the links outlive a generation change of equipment. Mounting and connection

A DAC plugs in like a regular module: the connectors are inserted into SFP28, SFP+ or SFP slots until the latch clicks and are removed by the pull tab without force. Avoid sharp kinks when routing — copper assemblies have a larger minimum bend radius than patch cords, and a crease degrades the channel. One meter is enough to connect devices in adjacent rack units; for runs between racks, choose a longer DAC or fiber with transceivers. Both ends of the link negotiate a common speed on their own: an SFP28 port brings up 25G, SFP+ — 10G, SFP — 1G.
