The MikroTik XQ+BC0003-XS+ is a copper DAC breakout from QSFP28 to four SFP28: one 100G switch port becomes four independent 25G channels. The most economical way to connect several servers or switches to a 100G node — no transceivers, patch cords or extra adapters.

Frequently asked questions

Why is a DAC better than optics at short range?
Cheaper, more reliable and cooler: no transceivers to heat up and fail, no connectors to get dirty. The one limit is length — a few meters.
Is it compatible with other vendors' equipment?
The connectors are standard and the cable works with most switches and NICs; some vendors insist on "their own" cables — we will check compatibility for your device pair.
Do all four ends have to be used?
No — unused SFP28 ends simply stay free, while the 100G port runs in 4×25G mode.
