In shielded systems it is recommended to use shielded patch cords (FTP/SFTP) to preserve shield continuity along the entire channel.
How durable are the connectors on such short cords?
The connectors are standard RJ-45 with a latch; with careful use they withstand many repeated connections. To protect against accidental pull-out, connectors with a locking clip can be used.
How does the black cord differ from the red or blue one in the same series?
