The C13 power cord is what powers practically everything in a rack: servers, uninterruptible power supplies, managed switches, monitors, desktop computers. The supplied cord often goes missing when equipment is moved, or turns out to be too short. A length of 1.5 meters is a working size for both a rack and a workstation.
