The Rubezh AM-4-R3 addressable module is a device for connecting contact sensors and devices with a "dry contact" output to the "Rubezh" addressable security and fire alarm system. Unlike the single-zone version, the AM-4-R3 is equipped with four independent inputs, which allows connecting several sensors to a single module at once and reducing the number of addressable devices in the system. The R3 protocol guarantees reliable transmission of information about the status of each input in real time.

Advantages

  • Four independent inputs: one addressable node replaces four separate devices, reducing the cost and complexity of installation
  • Dry contact support: suitable for most security, fire, and process sensors with a contact output
  • R3 protocol: digital data exchange ensures accurate transmission of the status of each of the four inputs
  • Saving address space: several sensors occupy one address on the system's addressable line
  • Flexibility in design: simplifies creating multi-point monitoring zones in a single room
  • Compatibility with Rubezh equipment: easily integrates into the system's existing infrastructure

Applications

  • Security and fire alarm: combining several control zones into one addressable node
  • Industrial sites: monitoring several process parameters via contact sensors
  • Warehouse complexes: monitoring the status of gates, hatches, and doors with minimal use of address points
  • Administrative and office buildings: economical expansion of the addressable system without increasing communication lines

Frequently asked questions

Can a sensor of a different type be connected to each input?
Yes, all four inputs are independent and work with any devices that have a "dry contact" output.
How does the module transmit data about the status of four inputs simultaneously?
Via the R3 protocol, each input has its own status, which is displayed in real time on the control panel.
Is the AM-4-R3 suitable for connecting readers, or only sensors?
The module is intended for contact sensors; for Wiegand readers, the AMP-4-R3 model is recommended.
