The AU1003-4XX remote is a standalone fob without a receiver: it is bought when the system is already running and more remotes are needed — for a new employee, a resident, or to replace a lost one. Pairing is by learning: the receiver is put into programming mode, the fob button is pressed, and it is in the system. The other remotes do not need reconfiguring.
