CCTV Installation Cost: Work Stages and Price Breakdown

CCTV Installation Cost: Work Stages and Price Breakdown

How camera installation works: site survey, choosing the number of cameras, cabling, configuration and mobile viewing — and what makes up the cost.

Where the work begins

It starts with a free site visit by an engineer: entrances, the till, the warehouse, the yard and blind spots are mapped out. From there the number of cameras, their types and the cable routes are decided — and that is exactly where the price is born.

A good design uses the minimum number of cameras with full coverage: one well-placed camera beats two installed at random.

Installation stages

Cable routing (conduit, tray or in-wall), mounting cameras on brackets, assembling the recorder and power supplies in a cabinet, network setup, camera focusing and recording checks. Finally, the mobile app is configured and your staff are trained.

An average site — a house or a shop — is completed in a single day; large sites take several days.

What makes up the price

Equipment (cameras, recorder, hard drive), consumables (cable, conduit, connectors, power supplies) and labour. From the catalogue the equipment side reads: a 2 MP IP camera from 234 900 UZS, a 4 MP one from 395 900 UZS, a 4-channel recorder from 320 900 UZS, an 8-channel one from 469 900 UZS, a 1 TB Seagate SkyHawk at 704 900 UZS and a 2 TB at 927 900 UZS. Consumables: a metre of UTP cat.5e at 6 170 UZS, an RJ-45 connector at 670 UZS, a five-port PoE switch Dahua PFS3005-5ET-L at 51 090 UZS. On a site with a finished interior, installation costs more: cable routes are harder to conceal. Catalogue prices as of September 2026, installation not included.

Pole mounting, long outdoor runs, fibre optics and outdoor cabinets are priced separately — these come up on yards and industrial sites.

Configuration and mobile viewing

After installation we always configure the essentials: motion detection zones, the recording schedule, archive retention, the mobile app and access rights. You get a finished, working system — not a "set the rest up yourself".

How remote viewing works — through Hik-Connect, DMSS and other apps — we cover in detail in a separate article.

Warranty and service

Equipment carries an official manufacturer warranty; installation work is covered by our company warranty. Later you can sign a maintenance contract: preventive checks, camera cleaning and hard-drive health monitoring.

For a site survey and an estimate, call us or write in the website chat — an engineer will visit and calculate the exact cost.

Where customers lose money

The three costliest mistakes: a desktop disk instead of a surveillance-rated one (it dies first from round-the-clock recording), a cheap camera at the till where detail matters, and "whatever cable was around" without power margin — in winter the far cameras start rebooting. Each of these savings costs more than the price difference.

The right order is different: first a free survey and a calculation per zone task, then a complete estimate — cameras, recorder, disk, cable, installation and phone setup with no hidden charges. That way the system works for years, not until the first winter.

Headroom for future expansion

A system is almost always extended: a year later a warehouse, a car park or a second entrance is added. The gap at the start is measurable: an 8-channel recorder starts at 469 900 UZS and a 16-channel one at 803 900 UZS, so doubling the channel headroom costs 334 000 UZS. Replacing a fully loaded unit, by contrast, costs as much as a new kit plus reconfiguration.

The same applies to free ports on the PoE switch, headroom in the power supply, and a second drive bay. Empty conduit for future routes is laid separately — pulling cable through a ready channel is cheaper than chasing finished walls.

FAQ

How long does installation take?

For a house or a shop, usually one day. A large site (warehouse, factory, yard) takes several days, depending on the amount of cabling work.

Is the estimate paid?

No — the engineer's visit and the cost estimate are free.

How is cable routed in a finished interior?

In conduit or surface trunking along the walls, and above a suspended ceiling where possible. At the design stage we agree on the tidiest option.

Can I buy the cameras myself?

We work as a package: we supply the equipment ourselves, so the warranty covers both the hardware and the work, and a failed unit is replaced from our own stock.
