Touch Memory, Wiegand, ABA TRACK II

An access controller for the Orion security system: manages one door for entry and exit, or two entry doors. Connects Touch Memory readers, proximity card readers or PIN keypads over Touch Memory, Wiegand and ABA TRACK II interfaces. Supports antipassback, programmable access schedules, tamper and door-blocking control. One card can both open the door and arm the premises.

Advantages

  • Flexible modes: one in/out door or two doors
  • Antipassback — a card cannot be passed back
  • Readers of any standard: TM, Wiegand, ABA
  • Orion system integration over RS-485
  • Pass and arm with a single card

Applications

  • Factory entrance checkpoints
  • Offices within an Orion system
  • Server and restricted rooms
  • Combining access control with intruder alarm

Frequently asked questions

Does it work without the Orion console?
Yes, in standalone mode the controller makes access decisions itself; a console or workstation is needed for networked scenarios and event collection.
Which readers can be connected?
Any with standard Touch Memory, Wiegand or ABA TRACK II outputs — from iButton keys to contactless cards and keypads.
What is antipassback?
Repeat-entry denial: until an exit is registered for a card, a second entry with it is blocked — the card cannot be handed to another person.
