Automatic Gates: How to Choose a Drive

Gate types (sliding, swing, sectional) and drives, what matters when choosing and whether existing gates can be automated.

Gate and drive types

Gates come as sliding, swing, sectional and roller — each type has its own drive. Sliding gates suit wide entrances, swing gates are the classic for yards, sectional doors save space in a garage.

The drive is matched to the leaf weight and opening frequency: the heavier and more frequent, the more powerful the mechanism must be.

What matters when choosing

Drive power matched to leaf weight, duty cycle (frequent entry needs a drive with headroom), safety photocells and a warning lamp, remotes and optional plate recognition.

Skimping on the drive leads to rapid wear — better to take a mechanism with a load margin.

Automating existing gates

Automation can be fitted to gates that are already installed. We configure smooth opening, anti-pinch protection and integration with ACS and plate recognition.

We work turnkey in Tashkent and across Uzbekistan — with warranty and service.
