IP or analog camera
Analog cameras (HDCVI/TVI) are cheaper, run over coax cable and suit small systems with local recording. IP cameras offer higher resolution, video analytics and flexible network scaling — the choice for medium and large sites.
If the system is new and growth is planned — go IP. If you need to inexpensively extend an existing analog system — stay within its standard.
Resolution and lens
2 MP (Full HD) is enough for a room overview; 4–8 MP — when you need to distinguish faces and plates at a distance. But high resolution demands more storage and bandwidth.
The lens defines angle and reach: 2.8 mm gives a wide room view, 4–6 mm — a corridor or entrance, and a varifocal lens lets you tune the angle to a specific spot.
Night vision and conditions
For dark zones, IR illumination and good light sensitivity matter; outdoors — dust/moisture protection (IP66/IP67) and the right temperature range. Against backlight, choose cameras with WDR.
We will help you match a camera to a specific zone and task — considering lighting, distance and budget.
