The Hikvision DS-TL2000A-L1 infrared illuminator lights a zone with invisible light: the camera gets a picture at night at distances where its built-in illumination no longer reaches — a long perimeter, a warehouse, a car park, a stretch of road. Unlike white light, infrared does not dazzle people or draw attention to the protected area.

Will the image be in color with IR illumination?
No, in the infrared range the picture is black and white. Color night recording requires cameras with white illumination or ColorVu.
How many illuminators does a perimeter need?
It depends on the length of the section, the beam angle and the cameras' specifications. Our designers calculate this from the site plan.
Is the illuminator compatible with other manufacturers' cameras?
Yes, it works independently and lights the zone for any camera sensitive to the infrared range.
