The Dahua DHI-HY-AA340R addressable gas detector senses leaks of methane and propane. Unlike smoke detectors, which react to combustion already underway, a gas sensor warns before ignition: it raises the alarm as soon as a flammable mixture appears in the air. It operates in the HY-series addressable loop.
