- Addressable fire alarm
The Dahua DHI-HY-1320 combined smoke and heat detector brings two detection channels into one housing: optical smoke and thermal. The alarm decision is made on the combination of signals, so the device reacts less to dust, steam or cigarette smoke while detecting a real fire more reliably.
Advantages
- Two detection channels cut false alarms — fewer needless evacuations and call-outs
- Detects both smouldering fires with smoke and fast fires with a sharp temperature rise
- One detector instead of two: savings on installation and loop addresses
- Room-level addressing and full status diagnostics
- Suits rooms with difficult microclimate where a pure smoke detector is unstable
Applications
- Rooms with occasional steam or dust: utility, technical, laundry areas
- Cafés, restaurants and zones next to kitchens
- Hotel rooms and corridors
- Production areas with moderate dust levels
Frequently asked questions
When is a combined detector better than a plain smoke one?
Where a smoke detector gives false alarms: near kitchens, in rooms with steam, in places with seasonal dust. The combined type requires confirmation on the second channel.
Does it fully replace a heat detector?
In most cases yes, but in rooms with constant smoke or vapour the code may specifically require a heat detector. The type is set by the design.
How many detectors does a room need?
The count depends on area, ceiling height and layout. Our designers do the calculation free of charge.
