The Dahua DHI-HY-1310-CTXF addressable heat detector responds to a rise in temperature and is used where a smoke detector cannot work. In kitchens, car parks, boiler rooms and dusty workshops, smoke, steam and airborne particles are always present — an optical detector would give false alarms. A heat detector only triggers on a genuine temperature rise.

Frequently asked questions
Will a heat detector find the fire too late?
It responds later than a smoke detector, which is why it is used only where a smoke type is unsuitable. Elsewhere the smoke detector remains the primary device.
Can detector types be combined in one room?
Yes, difficult areas often get both heat and combination detectors. The arrangement is set by the design according to room category.
Is the detector suitable for unheated premises?
The operating temperature range is given in the datasheet. For cold stores and outdoor use a version with the appropriate rating is selected.
