Ubiquiti UniFi Switch US-8-150W is a compact managed 8-port switch with 150 W PoE, optimal for small facilities and aggregation points in a UniFi network. The device is ideal for small offices, stores, cafes and security facilities where it is necessary to connect and power several IP cameras, access points or IP phones. Despite its modest size, US-8-150W has all the functions of a managed enterprise switch.
Advantages
- 8 PoE ports are enough for most small facilities — offices, stores, small warehouses
- A total PoE power of 150 W allows powering several cameras and access points simultaneously
- A compact form factor allows installation in small mounting boxes and wall cabinets
- Integration into the UniFi ecosystem provides centralized management together with the rest of the network equipment
- VLAN and QoS support allows properly segmenting the traffic of video surveillance and office devices
- A 1-year warranty confirms the reliability of Ubiquiti equipment
Applications
- Small offices and retail outlets with IP video surveillance and Wi-Fi infrastructure
- Facilities with a limited number of IP cameras and UniFi access points
- Distributed corporate networks where US-8-150W acts as an access-level switch
- Small hotels, hostels and apartments with centralized network management
Frequently asked questions
Can US-8-150W be managed without a UniFi controller?
Basic operation is possible without a controller, but for full management and monitoring it is recommended to use the UniFi Controller.
Does the switch support rack mounting?
The US-8-150W form factor is not intended for a standard 19-inch rack; the device is mounted on a wall or placed on a horizontal surface.
Will 150 W be enough to power 8 PoE devices?
If the average consumption of each device does not exceed 15-18 W, the power will be enough for all 8 ports; for devices with high consumption (PoE+), we recommend clarifying the power balance.
