The ZKTeco Avalon-S1000 speed gate is designed for the lobbies of business centers, banks and hotels: the leaves open in 0.3–0.6 seconds, so the flow of people is not held up. A mechanical clutch provides emergency opening and protection against injury on collision. Passage width is 650 mm, optionally 920 mm.

Frequently asked questions
What happens on a fire alarm?
The leaves open and stay in the free position — that is a requirement for escape routes, and the scenario is configured during commissioning.
Can face recognition be added later?
The pedestal allows terminals to be integrated. It is better to plan this at design stage so the installation does not have to be redone.
How does the gate tell apart two people walking close together?
Sensors in the pedestal track the passage and register an attempt to tailgate behind another person.
