The Bolid S2000-IPG gas fire detector responds to carbon monoxide — a product of smouldering that is released before visible smoke and open flame. That buys time where minutes count: in bedrooms, hotels, hostels, server rooms with cable routes. The panel sees both the current CO level and the health of the sensor.

Frequently asked questions
Does a gas detector replace a smoke detector?
No, they complement each other. Smouldering gives off CO before smoke, but open flame is detected faster by a smoke or heat sensor.
Does the detector react to domestic gas?
It is designed for carbon monoxide as a sign of smouldering. For methane and propane leaks a dedicated gas sensor is needed.
Does the sensor have a service life?
The sensing element has a limited life, stated in the datasheet. Replacement is part of the maintenance schedule.
