Bolid S2000-SMK ver.05 magnetic contact addressable detector is designed for protecting metal doors and structures as part of addressable security systems. The device detects a change in the magnetic field when the protected object is opened and immediately transmits an addressable alarm signal to the control panel. The 1.5 m wire length ensures convenient installation without additional cable extensions in typical doorways.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a metal door require a special version of the detector?

Metal distorts the magnetic field of standard magnets, which causes false triggers. The ver.05 version is equipped with a reinforced magnet and adapted geometry for stable operation on metal surfaces.

How does this detector transmit information to the system?

The device has an addressable interface and connects to the addressable loop of the Bolid controller, transmitting a unique identifier when the state changes.

Can the S2000-SMK ver.05 be installed on a wooden or plastic door?

Technically possible, however this version is optimized for metal structures; for other materials, the appropriate versions of the sensor should be chosen.
