- Addressable fire alarm
The Dahua DHI-HY-1420 addressable output module comes with a base and acts as the system's executive link: on the panel's command it closes a contact and starts external equipment. Through modules like this the fire alarm drives everything that must switch on or off during an alarm — from sounders to ventilation.
Advantages
- Starts external equipment by alarm scenario without human involvement
- Supplied with a base — mounts to the ceiling or in a cabinet without extra accessories
- Its own address: the panel controls each mechanism individually, not as a group
- Supervision of the line up to the actuating device
- Programmable scenarios: groups of modules trigger under different conditions
Applications
- Activating alarm systems and escape route lighting
- Starting smoke extraction and shutting down supply ventilation
- Releasing turnstiles and electromagnetic locks
- Stopping process equipment and conveyors
Frequently asked questions
What load can be connected to the module?
The module switches a control signal, not a power load directly. Heavy equipment is connected through an intermediate contactor — the scheme is set in the design.
Can different zones have different scenarios?
Yes, the panel is programmed so that a fire in one zone triggers its own set of modules — for example, smoke extraction only on the affected floor.
What happens if the line to the actuator breaks?
The module supervises the line and reports the fault to the panel, so the problem is found during normal operation rather than during a fire.
