The Dahua DHI-HY-1431-CTXF addressable loop isolator protects the fire alarm system from the consequences of a short circuit. When a cable is damaged, the module cuts off the faulty section while the rest of the loop keeps working. Without isolators, a single short can disable the whole line together with every detector on it.
