The Dahua DHI-HY-1601 gas suppression control unit is responsible for releasing the extinguishing gas: it monitors the state of the protected zone, holds the evacuation delay, verifies that doors and dampers are closed, and only then issues the release command. This unit is what turns a set of cylinders into a controlled suppression system.
Advantages
- Release delay for evacuation with countdown and warning
- Zone status monitoring: doors, dampers, abort state
- Accepts commands from manual release and abort buttons
- Mode indication: automation enabled, disabled, countdown running
- Diagnostics of release circuits — faults surface in advance, not during a fire
Applications
- Server rooms, equipment rooms and data centers
- Electrical switchrooms and areas with power equipment
- Archives, museum stores and libraries
- Process installations where water is unacceptable
Frequently asked questions
Why choose gas rather than water for a server room?
Gas suppression does not damage electronics and leaves no residue, whereas water destroys equipment more surely than the fire itself.
What happens if people are still in the room?
The abort button stops the countdown and prevents release. Automation resumes once the room has been cleared.
Who is allowed to service such an installation?
Suppression systems are installed and maintained by a licensed company. SAT Solutions carries out the full cycle: design, installation, commissioning and maintenance.
