The Hikvision DS-KDM9633-FKP keypad module with fingerprint reader fits alongside a KD9633 series door station in a shared mounting frame and adds two more ways in: a numeric code and a fingerprint. Residents do not have to carry a card, and guests can be given a temporary code. The metal body withstands outdoor use, and the module is powered and controlled from the main station.

Frequently asked questions

Does the fingerprint reader work in frost?

Operating conditions are given in the datasheet. In a cold climate recognition of a wet or frozen finger degrades, so a second entry method is usually kept.

How many fingerprints can be enrolled?

Capacity depends on the system configuration. For a residential building or an office there is plenty of headroom — exact figures are confirmed per project.

Can the module be added to an already installed station?

Yes, if the station is a KD9633 series and there is room in the mounting frame. Otherwise the frame has to be replaced.
