The Hikvision DS-KV6114-ME1 door station repeats the functionality of the base model but in a reinforced metal housing. Such a panel survives outdoor use in high-traffic locations where plastic suffers over time. It has a built-in wide-angle camera, a Mifare card reader and a call button, connecting over IP with PoE power.

It takes impacts better and does not fade in the sun. Where the panel may be brushed or struck, the difference in service life is noticeable.
Does a metal housing heat up in the sun?
For installation on a south-facing wall we recommend a canopy — it also protects the lens from glare and drips.
Is the station compatible with monitors already installed?
