The redundant addressable secondary power supply source Rubezh IVEPR 12/5 RS-R3 version 2x17 BR provides uninterrupted power to the devices of the Rubezh addressable fire and security alarm system. The device generates a stabilized DC voltage of 12 V with an output current of up to 5 A, and the built-in storage batteries with a total capacity of 2×17 Ah ensure long autonomous system operation when the main power is disconnected. The RS-R3 addressable interface allows monitoring the state of the power supply directly via the bus of the Rubezh system.
Advantages
- High backup capacity: two batteries of 17 Ah each guarantee prolonged system operation when the power grid is disconnected
- Output current of 5 A: sufficient to power an extensive network of addressable devices at large sites
- RS-R3 addressable interface: monitoring of the power supply state is integrated directly into the Rubezh addressable line
- Power redundancy: automatic switching to batteries ensures continuity of fire and security alarm operation
- 12 V DC voltage: the standard supply voltage is compatible with all addressable devices of the system
- Belonging to the Rubezh ecosystem: guaranteed compatibility without additional adapters
Applications
- Addressable fire and security alarm systems: centralized power supply of addressable detectors, tags and actuators
- Large sites: providing power to extended addressable lines with a large number of devices
- Sites with requirements for long-term redundancy: production facilities, hospitals, server rooms
- Industrial enterprises: uninterrupted operation of the fire alarm under conditions of unstable power supply
Frequently asked questions
How is the state of the IVEPR monitored in the Rubezh system?
The RS-R3 addressable interface allows transmitting data about the state of the power supply (battery charge, faults) directly to the control panel via the addressable line.
What is the estimated backup time from two batteries of 17 Ah?
The time depends on the total consumption of the connected devices; the exact calculation is performed during system design.
Can the batteries be replaced without dismantling the device?
Yes, the batteries are replaced during maintenance; the replacement procedure is described in the device documentation.
