Ruijie M6000-24SFP2XS L3 switch is a line module for the RG-NBS6002 chassis, equipped with 24 optical Gigabit Ethernet ports (SFP) and 2 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports (SFP+) for uplink. The solution is created for networks with a fiber-optic cabling system, where it is necessary to connect a large number of remote devices or organize communication between buildings. The L3 level allows implementing routing and traffic segmentation directly at the aggregation level.

This is technically possible if they comply with the 1000Base-SX/LX standards, however Ruijie recommends using certified transceivers to guarantee compatibility.

Does the module support link redundancy protocols?

Redundancy and management functions are provided by the operating system of the RG-NBS6002 chassis; standard enterprise-level protocols are supported.

What is the maximum communication range through the SFP optical ports?

The range depends on the type of installed transceiver: multimode usually covers up to 550 m, single-mode — up to tens of kilometers.
