Security relay, tamper sensor

Bolid S2000-AR-1 mod.01 is a miniature addressable expander designed for embedding inside a four-wire security or fire detector. The device adds addressable capabilities to the detector without the need to replace it: the expander is powered over the two-wire communication line and provides monitoring of the security relay and tamper sensor. This is a cost-effective way to convert existing infrastructure into addressable format within the ISO Orion system.

Advantages

  • Built-in installation: placed inside the detector housing, taking no additional space and not disturbing the aesthetics of the facility
  • Two-wire power: receives power directly over the communication line, without laying a separate power cable
  • Security relay and tamper sensor monitoring: extends the functionality of a standard detector
  • Non-volatile memory: retains settings when power is off
  • Minimal dimensions: does not affect the size and appearance of the installed detector
  • Compatibility with the Orion system: full addressable integration without replacing all equipment

Applications

  • Modernization of existing alarm systems by converting to addressable format
  • Facilities where replacement of serviceable four-wire detectors is undesirable
  • Security systems requiring monitoring of relay status and housing tamper sensor
  • Building addressable systems within ISO Orion using existing equipment
  • Administrative, commercial and industrial facilities during phased modernization of security systems

Frequently asked questions

Can the S2000-AR-1 be installed in any detector?
The expander is designed for four-wire security and fire detectors; before installation you must ensure there is sufficient internal space in the detector housing.
Are settings lost when power is turned off?
No, the device is equipped with non-volatile memory and retains all parameters when power is turned off.
What function does the tamper sensor monitoring perform?
In case of unauthorized opening of the detector housing, the tamper sensor sends an alarm signal to the system, which increases the facility's protection against sabotage.
