Advantages

  • One controller serves four doors and powers their locks and readers directly, so no separate power supply appears in the cabinet for each point.
  • Five ways in, including QR codes, and they can be combined: a server room can demand card plus fingerprint while the office keeps a single badge.
  • Unlock schedules run by time of day — card during working hours, card plus PIN at night — and the switch happens on its own.
  • The alarm set covers real scenarios: duress, tamper, forced door, door held open too long, and repeated attempts with an invalid card.
  • PoE power means a single cable to the controller — no mains line needs to be pulled to the installation point.

Applications

  • Offices and business centres: four doors on one floor from a single controller.
  • Warehouses and production sites with restricted zones and a fire alarm interlock.
  • Healthcare and education, where a detailed passage log is required.

Frequently asked questions

How does a controller differ from a standalone reader?
A standalone reader keeps its database internally and serves one door. A controller holds a shared database of 100,000 users, keeps a single log of 500,000 events, manages four doors and integrates with video surveillance and fire alarm systems.
What is anti-passback?
It refuses a second entry on the same credential while the log shows the holder has not left. That closes the practice of handing a card back over the fence and makes time tracking trustworthy.
Do the locks need their own power supply?
No. The controller powers four locks at 12 V up to 1.2 A and four readers up to 500 mA. It is enough to choose an adapter of sufficient rating; individual supplies per door are unnecessary.
