Advantages
- The pair arrives configured from the factory: the units find each other on power-up and need no setting up, which saves hours on site.
- A lift is a special case — running a travelling cable into a moving car is expensive and unreliable, and a wireless bridge removes the mechanical wear entirely.
- The PoE combiner and 12 V adapter are already in the box, so no injectors or power supplies need buying separately.
- PoE reach of up to 80 metres covers a high-rise shaft from the machine room to the lower floors.
- Built-in spectrum analysis shows channel congestion during installation and helps pick a clear one — in a residential building the air is usually crowded.
Applications
- Video surveillance inside the lift car of a residential building or business centre.
- Links to moving platforms and gantry cranes in industry.
- Any run where a cable is constantly flexed and fails early.
Frequently asked questions
Why not simply run a cable into the lift?
The travelling cable flexes continuously with the car, and twisted pair inside it wears out within a year or two, giving an unstable link and phantom camera dropouts. A wireless bridge removes the mechanical load.
Does it need configuring on site?
No. The pair is configured at the factory and brings the link up as soon as power is applied. Setup is only needed if neighbouring equipment interferes — that is where the built-in spectrum analysis helps.
What is in the box?
Two bridges, a PoE combiner and a 12 V power adapter. A typical installation needs nothing further.
