Frequently asked questions
Which model should I choose: 1, 3 or 5 km?
Take the actual distance and add roughly half again as headroom. The greater the rated range, the narrower the antenna beam and the more precise the alignment must be. For 800 metres a 1 km unit with a wide beam is the wiser choice.
What happens in rain or snow?
At these distances the 5 GHz band is only mildly affected by precipitation; noticeable degradation begins with heavy downpours over multi-kilometre paths. The IP65 housing itself keeps water out.
Are the bridges sold in pairs?
WBK5 series units ship as a kit of two devices already configured to work with each other. Nothing extra is needed for a point-to-point link.
