Description
The Hikvision DS-3WG2510-EI is a wired router with a built-in wireless AC controller, designed for small and medium office networks with up to 250 concurrent users. It provides 8 gigabit LAN ports (two of them configurable) and 2 WAN ports, with total throughput of up to 2 Gbps. The device combines the roles of gateway, firewall and wireless network management center. For companies that need a single node instead of a set of separate boxes, it is a practical choice.
In controller mode the router centrally manages up to 64 Hikvision access points: it distributes settings, updates firmware and monitors the radio network of the entire building. Installation and setup
The router is installed in a server room or telecom cabinet next to the switches. ISP links are connected to the WAN ports, after which balancing and failover rules are defined in the web interface. Hikvision access points connect through PoE switches and are discovered by the controller automatically — it only remains to apply a common SSID profile and security policy.
