The Hikvision DS-K7M-AW50 metal enclosure is a mounting cabinet for an access control controller: it houses the controller board, the power supply and a backup battery. A lock closes off access to the equipment, so the system cannot be powered down or rewired without a key. The enclosure is fitted in a utility room or a switch room next to the doors.
