How to choose
- Lock type: electromagnetic or electronic. - Identifier type. Readers work with EM cards (125 kHz, low-frequency standard) or MF cards (Mifare, 13.56 MHz, high-frequency). Mifare cards provide a higher level of protection against copying.
- Availability of Wi-Fi or a network interface. Locks with Wi-Fi (for example, TK-606A-TW) allow access to be managed from a smartphone or a cloud application without running separate control lines.
- Compatibility with the ACS controller. If integration with an existing or new access control system is planned, clarify the communication protocols (Wiegand, RS-485 and others) at the design stage.
- Door closer. For the electromagnetic lock to work correctly, the door must close tightly without effort from the user. The closer is selected according to the weight and size of the door leaf.
- Operating conditions. For outdoor and semi-open access points, equipment with moisture and dust protection resistant to temperature fluctuations is required.

Which is better — an electromagnetic or an electronic lock?
Electromagnetic locks are simpler to install, reliable and well suited for doors with an ACS controller. Electronic locks are autonomous, have built-in user memory and can work without a central controller — convenient where there is no point in running a separate control cable.
Can an ACS lock be bought and installed by yourself?
Technically — yes, but installing an electromagnetic lock requires correct selection of the closer, proper power wiring and configuration of the delay time. Installation errors reduce the reliability of the system and can lead to breakage. Professional installation guarantees correct operation and does not void your warranty.
What holding force does a standard office door need?
For light interior doors (up to a 50 kg leaf) a 180 kg lock is sufficient. For heavy metal doors and entrance groups, 280 kg and above is recommended. It is also important to make sure that the door frame and closer are rated for the corresponding load.
EM or Mifare cards — what is the difference?

Can the locks be integrated with a video surveillance system?
