CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS is a router for networks where almost everything arrives over fiber: twelve SFP+ ports at 10 Gbps, two SFP28 at 25 Gbps and a single gigabit copper port for management.
That layout covers the typical job of an ISP or a large site: gather a dozen fiber links from buildings or nodes on one device, send a 25 Gbps uplink upstream and route traffic between them. The copper port stays a service port — used for configuration, not for load.
Inside is RouterOS: BGP and OSPF, VLANs, firewall, VPN, queues and shaping. Routing, segmentation and traffic accounting all happen on the same device, with no separate box per function.
