Wi-Tek WK-R1800 is a new-generation Wi-Fi 6 (AX1800) router and repeater with a total speed of 1800 Mbit/s, gigabit ports, and 256 MB of RAM. Wi-Fi 6 provides higher performance compared to previous generations in conditions of high client density and reduces latency when many devices operate simultaneously. Four 5 dBi antennas guarantee wide coverage — a convenient solution for home, office, and small commercial facilities.
Advantages
- The Wi-Fi 6 (AX1800) standard significantly increases network efficiency with a large number of simultaneous connections
- 1200 Mbit/s in the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbit/s in 2.4 GHz provide high-speed internet for all devices
- A gigabit WAN port and three gigabit LAN ports make it possible to connect a NAS, workstations, and IP cameras without loss of speed
- 256 MB of RAM ensures stable operation even with intensive traffic and numerous routing rules
- Four external 5 dBi antennas increase the coverage area and reduce the number of dead zones
- Support for Router, AP, Repeater, and WISP modes makes the device flexible in use
Applications
- Apartments and private homes with a large number of smart devices and 4K video streaming
- Small offices with video conferencing and corporate cloud applications
- Cafes and retail outlets with guest Wi-Fi for customers and a working network for staff
- Expanding coverage in repeater mode without laying new cables
- Facilities with high latency requirements: online games, VoIP, remote control
Frequently asked questions
Do client devices also need to support Wi-Fi 6 to benefit from the new standard?
Devices without Wi-Fi 6 will connect in compatibility mode (Wi-Fi 5/4); the advantages of Wi-Fi 6 are fully manifested when AX-supporting clients are present.
Can the WK-R1800 be used as an access point by connecting it to an existing router?
Yes, the AP mode allows the device to be used as a wireless access point, leaving the routing to the main router.
What does 256 MB of RAM provide compared to models with less memory?
A larger amount of memory makes it possible to handle more simultaneous connections and operate more stably under peak loads and complex routing tables.
