hAP ax² is the new-generation router, successor to the popular hAP ac². The key differences: Wi-Fi 6 instead of Wi-Fi 5, plus PoE support on both input and output.

PoE-in means the router can be powered over the network cable and hung, say, on a corridor wall with no socket. PoE-out lets it feed a camera or an access point itself — a small network can be assembled with no power bricks at all.

Wi-Fi 6 brings stability with many clients, which matters more in an office than peak megabits. RouterOS inside — routing, VPN, firewall, VLANs, per-device statistics.

Why is the hAP ax² called the golden middle?

Dual-band Wi-Fi 6, five gigabit ports and PoE-in/out at a household router's price: for most apartments and small offices that is enough with years of headroom.

What can its PoE do?

It takes power over cable from a switch and can power the next device — a camera or an AP — from its last port. Fewer power bricks, cleaner installation.

How hard is moving from a regular router?

We hand the device over preconfigured: Wi-Fi, a guest network and updates already on. It then grows with the tasks — VPN, VLANs, schedules.
