The Pixietech SFP WDM module at 1550 nm with an LC Simplex connector is a compact transceiver for building single-fiber optical channels up to 20 km long. The device is intended for network engineers for whom it is important to use already-laid single-mode fiber as efficiently as possible. The LC Simplex connector simplifies work in high-density patch panels and installation panels.

Frequently asked questions

How does this module differ from the version without the LC suffix?

By the connection connector: this modification uses LC Simplex, whereas the version without the suffix may have a different connector type. Make sure the patch cord and adapters in your patch panel conform to the LC standard.

Can the module be used as a standalone solution?

The module works only in a pair with another WDM transceiver at a 1310 nm wavelength at the far end of the line. On its own (without a pair), data transmission is not possible.

Is the module suitable for switches that support only dual-fiber SFP?

The switch port must support Simplex SFP or WDM SFP. Ordinary duplex ports require appropriate adapters. Check compatibility with our technical department.
