TP-Link POE2412G — a passive gigabit PoE injector of the Omada series, transmitting data and 24 V power over a single Ethernet cable. A power of 12 W is sufficient to power compact access points and IP cameras compatible with passive PoE. The device allows you to add power to an existing network line without replacing the switch.

What is the difference between passive PoE and standard 802.3af?
Passive PoE supplies power without a negotiation procedure, so the device on the other end must be explicitly rated for this voltage — otherwise damage is possible.
Is the injector suitable for powering cameras that support 802.3af?
POE2412G is a passive 24 V injector, not the 802.3af standard. For 802.3af cameras, use POE150S.
Is a separate power source needed for the injector?
Yes, the injector connects to a 220 V outlet and converts the voltage for transmission over the cable.
