The Pixietech SC/APC-SC/APC optical adapter is designed to connect single-mode optical patch cords with angled-polished SC/APC connectors. The APC connector with angled end-face polishing provides significantly less back-reflection compared to UPC, which is especially critical in cable television networks, PON networks, and systems with laser signal sources. The green housing of the adapter allows error-free distinction of SC/APC ports from SC/UPC during installation.
