DISC Lite5 ac is an outdoor 5 GHz unit with a built-in 21 dBi backfire antenna. Such an antenna produces a narrow directional beam, so the link stays stable at a distance where an ordinary access point already gives up.
It is used in pairs as a wireless bridge between buildings — across a road, a river or a neighboring plot where cable cannot be laid. It also serves as subscriber equipment pointed at an ISP base station.
The case is all-weather, mounts on a mast or a wall, and power comes over PoE, so no separate mains line is needed at the installation point. Management is RouterOS with the full set of radio tuning tools.

What does "line of sight" mean in practice?
No buildings or trees between the antennas: summer foliage eats the signal. Before purchase we assess the path for free using maps and elevations.
How is it powered?
Over PoE: one cable carries data and power, the injector is included. No outlet needed on the mast.
